Afsheen Sheikh
Managing Director & Behaviour Consultant

As an RBA (Ont.) and OAP registered provider serving the Toronto GTA, my journey into special needs therapy began with a personal connection - my son's autism diagnosis. This life-changing event over 20 years ago redirected my path from a successful career in Finance and Banking.

My extensive experience encompasses working with children aged 18 months to adults, addressing various conditions including Special Needs, ADHD/ADD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Dyspraxia, Down's Syndrome, Dyscalculia, Learning Disabilities, Hyperlexia, Severe Anxiety, and Developmental Delay.

Being a parent of a youth with special needs brings a unique perspective to my work, combining professional expertise with personal understanding. I've experienced firsthand the daily challenges families face, from early diagnosis through various developmental stages.

My approach focuses on creating tailored strategies for each client, implementing evidence-based, humane, and effective interventions. The goal is to empower differently-abled individuals, helping them reach their full potential and lead productive, happy lives.

What Families Are Saying

Real feedback from parents who trust Xable with their children

“Afsheen is truly a gem of a person and an amazing behavioural therapist. She is one of the very few people I feel completely comfortable and confident trusting with my son. The way she worked with him was incredible. She was patient, understanding, and genuinely cared about him as a child, not just as a client. Her advice genuinely matters to me, and I value her experience and perspective. As a parent, being able to trust someone with your child is everything, and Afsheen has earned that trust.”

“Afsheen is an amazing BCBA who did a thorough assessment before recommending the behaviour plan. She really goes into the details and helps come up with thoughtful ways to resolve specific behaviour challenges. She is very professional and makes sure to connect with the parent as well so we were involved in the plan. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a BCBA for their child.”
